Professor, Head of CITIES Research Center, Head of Smart Cities Coordination Committee, Technical University of Denmark
Henrik Madsen got a PhD in statistics from the Technical University of Denmark in 1986. In 1999 he became professor in mathematical statistics with a special focus on stochastic dynamical systems. His main research related to analysis and modelling of stochastic dynamical systems. This includes signal processing, statistical modelling, machine learning, forecasting, optimization and control. The applications are mostly related to energy systems, smart cities and environmental systems. Since 2014 he has been heading the National Strategic Research Centre entitled Centre for IT-Intelligent Energy Systems in Cities (CITIES). He has authored or co-authored approximately 500 papers and 12 books.
