Smart City professionals from all over the world are joining the international Smart City conference, Greater Copenhagen Smart Solutions: Living Labs for Liveable Cities in Copenhagen on June 6-8, 2016.

The municipalities of Albertslund, Frederikssund and Copenhagen are together with Gate 21 hosting an international Smart City conference, which will give you an unique insight into established Living Labs in Greater Copenhagen.

 

From digital planning to intelligent lamp posts and future energy solutions

Greater Copenhagen is an unique test area where new Smart City solutions are being tested and implemented in Living Labs – and this conference gives you the opportunity to visit four of them.

Vinge – A Smart Greenfield Project
The city of Frederikssund is constructing Vinge on a green field site. On the tour to Vinge you will see how and why Vinge is the city of the future. Vinge is a unique project in Denmark and the largest town development area in Denmark with expected 20.000 inhabitants within the next 20 years.
You will visit the site where Vinge’s infrastructure is being created and where the first buildings will climb from the ground in just a few months. Get the full story about the project and meet some of the companies, that are developing the technologies of tomorrow’s Smart Cities.

Street Lab – An urban Smart City Living Lab
The tour in Copenhagen’s Street Lab will take the participants around the Living Lab in the heart of Copenhagen for a live demonstration with local experts on Smart City infrastructure, sensing the city, interaction and participation with smart citizens, public-private innovation partnerships and fabrication laboratories. Street Lab is Copenhagen’s testarea for Smart City solutions in real urban space based on the award-winning world best smart city concept Copenhagen Connecting.

DOLL Living Lab – Europe’s largest Living Lab for intelligent outdoor lighting
In the suburbs of Copenhagen, an industry park has become Europe’s foremost arena for manufacturers and suppliers to present and test the newest lighting and Smart City solutions. DOLL, Danish Outdoor Lighting Lab, is Europe’s most advanced showroom and lab for outdoor lighting and Smart City solutions. Get the opportunity to meet the companies involved in DOL Living Lab and learn more about Europe’s largest Living Lab for outdoor lighting.

EnergyLab Nordhavn – New Urban Energy Infrastructures
Over the next four years the project EnergyLab Nordhavn will develop and demonstrate future energy solutions. On this tour you will learn more about how the project will utilize Copenhagen’s Nordhavn as a full-scale Smart City energy lab and demonstrates how electricity and heating, energy-efficient buildings and electric transport can be integrated into an intelligent, flexible and optimized energy system.
